The First blade I mentioned is made from hard plastic and is yellow. I
believe it's made in Australia but the Mower shop I got it from weren't
very helpful, saying that they simply buy it from a wholesaler. The
blade cost me $6.50AU

The soft rubber blade consists of a metal centre for attachment, and a
soft rubber blade system. The blades are very flexible. The shop I saw
this at says it is designed for Ryobi weed trimmers, so perhaps you can
find a source for it over there in the US. As I say the blade would need
constant replacement.
