People aren't the only ones to suffer overload of email. It seems that
dragon, the computer that runs the majordomo list, realised it wasn't
getting any real work done and decided to put the mowbot email on hold
until things were quieter (sounds familiar:-). All should have been well,
but inevitably today was the day that one of our network routers chose
to go funny, and in the process of sorting it out, we had to restart
the network services on all the machines. dragon then forgot which
email it had already started distributing and what was still queued,
so about 15 of you will receive duplicates of the 11 queued messages,
or receive those 11 messages several hours late.
Sorry about this. But I think yesterday's massive 128K of traffic
was probably a peak, and the network problem was a fluke, so the problem
shouldn't recur.
